Solymar Feinkost & Bistro in Darmstadt

We discovered the delicatessen shop by chance (through the sign in front of the shop) and ate lunch there (there was very tasty chili). The food was very, very tasty and the service was super friendly. Unfortunately we are only passing through, otherwise we would like to come back :)

Very tasty and large selection of Mediterranean antipasti, as well as homemade dips. Warm dishes (wraps and panini) are also available. Seating and a small wine list invite you to linger. Clear recommendation.

Small but nice, delicious food and lunch. Baked goods and delicacies from the south. Homemade cream cheese cream, in a lot of tasty variations. Super friendly staff, helpful and competent. A must for every Heiner and connoisseur .... Highly recommended 👍 PS: not to forget, the delicious chocolate cake ...... 👌

As a Schalke 04 Fan I always had sympathy for Darmstadt, the small club with tradition so we went there from Frankfurt . Solymar offers great Mediterranean food (it's always great compared to German food or as we say in the rest of Europe: "vomit") with decent prices and portions. Please try the olives and have an extra portion of their great bread (which is actually good in Germany !). There are some veggie options (more would be great !!) And they will make the plate vegan if necessary. Bravo, we will be back !

Stay here several times a week and always super satisfied! The coffee tastes great and the choice of food is amazing. Many different tapas smile at you as soon as you enter the shop and you are surrounded by the Mediterranean scent. On top there is also the delicious and daily changing lunch - there is always something for vegetarian and vegan guests!

Delicious Mediterranean cuisine

If you want to experience something unique in taste, love for truly creative tapas in a beautifully designed atmosphere, then I can recommend you with very good conscience that Solymar in Darmstadt. I'm a gourmet and a professional chef myself and I've traveled a lot on the planet, but these really well-made cream cheese or feta cheese creams are unique in their taste and really worth the price. My personal favorite, is the cream with dried tomatoes, wonderful. But the pickled olives, the good selection of cheeses, pickled peppers, artichokes, shrimp and also the good selection of reds and whites make you disappear for 15 minutes or longer in the south of Europe. Good service and a nice way to deal with the customers complete the offer. Yes, the Solymar is always worth a visit, it is right on the Ludwigsplatz, opposite the Hypo Vereinsbank and opposite the mobile phone business in the Schützenstrasse. All I can say is, return there and make yourself a judgment of the really good quality offered at the Solymar. Class - continue SO;)

The best Tapas in town! A really cool spot, sunny atmosphere and a great theke selection. A hot homemade lunch everyday. A nice Afterwork stop.

Delicious assortment, also to eat on the spot! My recommendation: date cream, chili drops, stuffed cherry peppers and hot peppers with cream cheese, served with fresh flatbread and for dessert the best chocolate cake I ever had with a cup of hot chocolate. Free Wi-Fi. And if I see what is on the lunch menu I will most certainly come over even more often!

One of the best bistro and restaurant. Ambience and food is super delicious. The way they serve food gives you the feel of family. I am far way from family in foreign land but just one time visit makes me so overwhelmed that I started visiting again and again Must try item are sauces, cakes, panini, little pizza and olive breads, all handmade. I just love it.
